Northeastern University offers a Fast App performance-based pathway for all learners for the Master of Science in Engineering Management degree. Get admitted based on your performance in approved courses - no application required.
Complete a two-course pathway in Engineering Probability and Statistics and Deterministic Operations Research for credit. Achieve at least a B in each course, and show proof of your bachelor’s degree by the time you complete the courses, and you’ll continue into the full degree program the next term.

Yes, it’s the same as the on-campus program. Upon program completion, you will receive your diploma. It’s a degree conferred for a Master of Science in Engineering Management, and your diploma won’t mention "online" or "Coursera".
Yes. The courses from the Fast App pathway are from the MSEM program and they’ll be applied to the full degree program, once you’ve completed them with a B or better (and provided proof of your bachelor’s degree).
The Northeastern University Fast App is a performance-based admissions process which allows you to earn graduate admission by completing real, degree coursework.
No need to gather application materials. No need to wait for an admissions decision. Let your performance in your coursework serve as your application into your graduate program. Note: These courses will also count for credit once you pay the necessary fees and become a Northeastern student.
After submitting the Fast App, you will get access to two performance-based admissions courses (pathway courses) for the next start date (Spring, Summer, Fall). Get a B or better in both pathway courses (and submit the official transcript of your bachelor’s degree by the time you complete the courses) and you'll continue into the full degree program the next term.
No. For a MSEM program with F-1 visa eligibility, check out the on-ground MSEM program through the College of Engineering at Northeastern.
No. All learners, regardless of having a technical background or not, are welcome to give the performance pathway courses a try.
Yes! You can gain direct admittance to the program by applying using the standard graduate application through the College of Engineering at Northeastern (Link for standard app).
You can submit a standard application to our program, which will allow you to use federal financial aid from the very beginning of your courses.
Yes. When you’ve completed the program, you’ll be invited to attend the graduation ceremony on the Northeastern campus. However, attendance is not mandatory!
